Carlos Condit Disappointed In End Result At UFC 154

Carlos Condit felt as though he gave Georges St-Pierre everything he could handle for 25 minutes, and he likely did, at UFC 154 this past weekend.

Condit floored “Rush” in the third round with a picture-perfect head-kick, but was unable to put St-Pierre away. GSP went on to claim a decision victory, unifying the UFC welterweight titles.

“I left it all in there,” said Condit, during the post-fight show on Fuel TV. “There is definitely some improvements that need to be made, but I’m glad I went in there and gave a good fight.”

Condit added that he didn’t feel as though much surprised him concerning how great St-Pierre was, but that his wrestling and top game were phenomenal.

“I definitely have some improvements (to be made), but this is the kind of fight you learn from,” Condit said. “We will re-evaluate and we’ll see what the UFC has in store for me and hopefully I can go out there and continue to entertain.”

Condit had his five-fight win streak snapped with the loss. He could be positioned for a rematch with Martin Kampmann, who defeated him in 2009 and was stopped in the co-main event by Johny Hendricks.
