Maynard was originally set to face Joe Lauzon at UFC 155, but Jim Miller will take his place. Maynard is expected to be away from training for 3-to-5 weeks, and is hoping for an early 2013 return to the Octagon.
The former Michigan State University standout defeated Clay Guida earlier this year via decision.
