‘Rampage’ Jackson Plans On Leaving UFC With A Knockout Over Glover Teixeira

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson appears – at least for the time being – headed for free agency following a January encounter with Glover Teixeira at UFC on Fox 6.

The bout will be the final one on Jackson’s current UFC contract, and as you might expect, the outspoken one plans to leave the Octagon with his hand held high.

“I’m training a lot because this is my last fight in the UFC,” said Jackson, during a recent interview with Tatame. “I want to go out with a knockout. Glover is a big problem for me. It’s time to go ahead and leave the kind of legacy in MMA.”

Jackson (32-10) has lost each of his last two fights, falling to current UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones and Ryan Bader. He was scheduled to face Mauricio “Shogun” Rua, but knee surgery kept him out of that fight. Jackson was also knocked out of an earlier meeting with Teixeira following a training injury.
