Lorenz Larkin’s Manager Not Happy With Luke Rockhold

Strikeforce middleweight champion Luke Rockhold has yet to confirm reports of his exit from a planned January encounter with Lorenz Larkin, but that hasn’t stopped Larkin’s manager from attacking Rockhold.

The two were expected to meet earlier this year, but a wrist injury knocked Rockhold out. Now, that same wrist is still causing him issues, and has likely cancelled a second encounter between the two planned for Strikeforce: Champions.

“At this point we’re highly frustrated,” said Arnold DeWitt, in an interview with MMADiehards.com. “We were prepared to fight Luke Rockhold for the title regardless of what’s going to happen with Strikeforce after January 12th. We’ve been prepared both times and this is just totally unprofessional.”

There has been no mention of Larkin taking another fight in January, but he will likely follow Rockhold to the UFC if the rumors of Strikeforce’s end come January 13 are true.

Larkin moved down from 205 pounds after a loss to Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal that was eventually changed to a no-contest due to Lawal’s failed post-fight drug test. He made his middleweight debut by topping Robbie Lawler earlier this year.
