Michael Bisping Only Concerned With Vitor Belfort Early In Their UFC On FX 7 Fight

Michael Bisping has no issues going the distance. “The Count” is a well-documented cardio machine, but the Brit doesn’t believe the same can be said for his next opponent, Vitor Belfort.

The two will face each other in the main event of UFC on FX 7 in January from Brazil. During a recent interview with MMAFighting.com, Bisping explained his reasoning behind Belfort’s lack of endurance in fights.

It’s well documented, rightly or wrongly, that Vitor gasses quickly. He does slow down after the first round. Obviously, early for me is going to be the most dangerous. The longer the fight goes, he’ll start turning into a walking punching bag. He’s going to come out hard and fast, and he will be dangerous.

Belfort (21-10) was recently defeated by Jon Jones in a bout for the UFC light heavyweight title. He nearly caught Jones with an armlock in the first round, but eventually was submitted.

Bisping is 23-4 and coming off a victory over Brian Stann that placed him in a high position in the UFC’s middleweight division.
