Despite suffering a knockout loss to Cung Le recently, former UFC champion Rich Franklin isn’t prepared to ride off into the sunset quite yet.
Franklin’s manager, JT Stewart, told ESPN recently that his fighter wants to finish his UFC contract – which has one bout remaining on it.
As for an opponent, Stewart said, “Doesn’t matter.”
Franklin (29-7) is 38 years old and was stopped in the first round vs. Le in Macau this past November. He has alternated wins and losses in his last eight UFC fights.
Stewart seemed to believe Franklin would remain in the middleweight division.
So, is there a middleweight out there you would like to see “Ace” tangle with before he retires?
