Stefan Struve Vs. Mark Hunt Targeted For UFC On Fuel TV 8

The UFC’s return to Japan in March appears to have one fight nearly locked down, as heavyweights Stefan Struve and Mark Hunt have verbally agreed to meet.

The bout was first reported by MMAWeekly.com for UFC on Fuel TV 8 from Saitama, Japan on March 3. The card will air March 2 in North America.

Struve (25-5) has picked up four consecutive victories since a loss to Travis Browne. Struve has finished all four opponents, scoring TKO victories over Dave Herman and Stipe Miocic, while submitting Pat Barry and Lavar Johnson.

Hunt (8-7) has turned his career around, defeating Cheick Kongo to find himself on a three-fight winning streak. Hunt has previously lost six consecutive fights.

Struve is getting knocked the fuck out if he doesnt finish it himself early. Hunt’s kicks will take out the legs until he is scared and then drop his hands. Wow, Struve, you better use that reach.

I kind of like Struve in this one, if it happens. Struve’s really evolving and, while I don’t think he can hang with the upper-level of UFC heavyweights, I think he’d get by Hunt.
