Anthony Pettis Lets UFC Know He Should Have Been Facing Benson Henderson, Not Nate Diaz

Former WEC champion Anthony Pettis is the last man to have defeated Benson Henderson.

Saturday night, Henderson successfully retained his UFC lightweight title be picking Nate Diaz apart, and Pettis watched it all unfold.

Pettis, who delivered his “Showtime Kick” to Henderson in earning the WEC title from “Smooth,” is set to face Donald Cerrone in early 2013. The winner could become the top contender to the UFC 155-pound title, said UFC president Dana White.

Pettis has been out of action since a win over Joe Lauzon in Japan with an injury.
