UFC president Dana White hinted that Alexander Gustafsson could be tabbed to face Lyoto Machida in early 2013.
Currently, Dan Henderson is expected to face Machida in a bout that should help sort out the cluster atop the UFC light heavyweight rankings.
However, White said that Gustafsson could step in for Henderson because “Hendo’s” knee was not healing fast enough.
Well, that’s news to Henderson, as the former Strikeforce champion took to Twitter to let the UFC boss know he is fine.

Henderson later added, “I guess I’ll have to show Dana personally how my knee feels.” He suffered the injury in August, preparing for a title match with Jon Jones.
Gustafsson topped Mauricio “Shogun” Rua at UFC on Fox 5, while Machida is coming off a victory over Ryan Bader.
