Bellator officials have signed a middleweight match to crown a new champion for the February 7 show on Spike TV from Georgia.
Former tournament winners Alexander Shlemenko and Maiquel Falcao will meet to determine a new world champion.
Hector Lombard vacated the title upon signing with the UFC earlier this year.
Shlemenko (46-7) is on a nine-fight win streak, while Falcao (31-4) enters on a four-fight win streak. Shlemenko won his second Bellator tourney title in 2011; Falcao captured one this year by besting Andreas Spang.
“Shlemenko vs. Falcao is a spectacular world title fight,” said Bellator CEO Bjorn Rebney. “If you like fights, this one has fight of the year written all over it.”
