Georges St-Pierre Not Thinking About Retirement Quite Yet

UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre will return to the Octagon this coming March to face Nick Diaz.

At 31 years old, St-Pierre likely understands that he will be hounded with the question of retirement several times over the next few years.

Following knee surgery, many wondered if GSP would return at all. He did, defeating Carlos Condit and unifying the UFC titles.

So, is retirement something that is on the horizon for the Canadian superstar?

“I don’t know. I love what I do for a living. I love my job,” St-Pierre said, during a recent appearance on Fuel TV. “I found the fire back. I want to give the fans a big fight. I don’t want to talk in the future because we don’t know what can happen. I hate when they ask me when I have a fight coming up what the next one is like I’ve already won.”

St-Pierre asked for Diaz next, preferring to face the former Strikeforce champion after the two had a pair of bouts cancelled over the past several months.
