Urijah Faber has stated several times that he plans to remain at 135 pounds for the foreseeable future.
However, if the UFC offered Faber a super-fight with a well-known featherweight, “The California Kid” would definitely listen.
“I’m at 158 (pounds) right now, but I could definitely jump up and fight if there was a big fight,” said Faber, in an interview with BJPenn.com recently. “I think I can compete at a couple different weight classes if I wanted to. I’m durable and I have a skill set. But, I’ll probably stay at 135 and then make a couple of super fights at 145 of that opportunity presents itself.”
Faber is currently set to face Ivan Menjivar at UFC 157 in February. He is a former WEC featherweight champion.
