The Ultimate Fighter is headed for Mexico, as the country joins the U.S., Brazil, England and Australia for the reality series.
UFC president Dana White told members of the media that plans are in place for TUF: Mexico to begin in January. No other news for the series was made public by White.
That’s what we’re doing. We’re going down there, we’re casting and we’re working on an Ultimate Fighter: Mexico. We’ll get this thing squared away. Get The Ultimate Fighter running down there.
White was asked about bringing the UFC to Mexico during a pre-fight press conference and stated that he was surprised the promotion took off in Brazil because he thought Mexico would have that kind of reaction.
Cain Velasquez and Erik Perez, who both compete tonight at UFC 155, each have Mexican ties.
