Chris Leben left the Octagon late in December none-too-pleased with his performance against Derek Brunson at UFC 155.
Leben, who was returning from an extended layoff due to a suspension, was defeated by Brunson in a bout that UFC president Dana White regretted placing on the pay-per-view main card.
Leben seemed to feel the same way after watching the fight himself, as he posted on Twitter, “Hindsight is 20/20 there’s (definitely) some things I would change about my performance. Coaches game plan was dead on. I just had a little ring rust.”
“The Crippler” proceeded to call on Brunson for his lack of intensity, writing, “But that being said Derek Brunson is a boring fighter the times he hit me, I let him just to get him to swing.”
Leben (22-9) has now dropped three of his last four fights. Brunson (10-2) was making his Octagon debut and accepted the bout on short notice after an injury knocked Karlos Vemola out.
