Glover Teixeira waited, and waited, and waited to make a splash inside the Octagon.
Now, following a pair of convincing victories, Teixeira will test his skills against former UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson at UFC on Fox 6 later this month.
For Teixeira (19-2), facing one of the fighters he watched and admired is just business.
“It’s just business. Quinton is a great fighter. I loved to watch him fight back in the day,” said Teixeira, during a recent interview with MMAjunkie.com Radio. “I still like to watch him fight. I’m just going to go over there and take care of business. I’m going to go over there and put on a great fight for the fans and try to knock him out.”
Teixeira has won his last 17 fights, including UFC victories over Kyle Kingsbury and Fabio Maldonado. Of those 17 wins, 16 have been stoppage triumphs.
