King Mo Lawal Has Sights Set On Future Boxing Match With Kimbo Slice

Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal is an all-around athlete. And, if you don’t believe it, just ask him.

Lawal, who will make his Bellator debut later this month in the season eight light heavyweight tournament, plans on mixing in some pro wrestling along with his MMA. In fact, Lawal has his sights set on even more than MMA and pro wrestling.

“I think ‘King Mo’ vs. Kimbo Slice would be a good boxing match,” said Lawal, during a recent interview with “I got good training, he’s got good training. I want to make it happen.”

Lawal’s contract includes a clause that allows him to take a boxing match, as long as Bellator CEO Bjorn Rebney approves of it. The former NCAA Div. II wrestling standout will also work for TNA wrestling, which airs on Spike TV alongside Bellator.

Lawal (8-1) will be competing for the first time in over a year when he enters the cage, as he was suspended following a failed post-fight drug test. He is a former Strikeforce light heavyweight champion, who lost the belt to Rafael Cavalcante in 2010.

“My main goal is to get through this tournament, win it, defend it, defend the belt once or twice and after that, get that fight with Kimbo,” Lawal stated.
