Anderson Silva Unsure Who He Faces Next After Michael Bisping Falls

UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva attended Saturday night’s UFC on FX 7 card likely expecting to figure out his next opponent.

However, Michael Bisping – who was promised a title shot with a win over Vitor Belfort at the card – was defeated, leaving Silva in the dark as for his next opponent.

“I don’t know,” said Silva, in an interview on the post-fight show on Fuel TV. “I need to talk to Dana (White) and Lorenzo (Fertitta).”

Silva, who last competed in a non-title bout in late 2012, defeating Stephan Bonnar, has stated his desire to return to action later this year. He also declined comment on the status of his new UFC contract, which will likely take him to the end of his career.

They should just give Luke rockhold the shot,I know he doesnt have a big name but anderson has shown interest in fighting him in the past and since there is no other contender why not

“…but anderson has shown interest in fighting him in the past…”

But that was when Rockhold was in a different org,

flamderson had no intention on ACTUALLY fighting him.

With Belcher, Bisping, and Boetch losing who else besides Rockhold is on a streak worth a title shot.

Weidman vs Rockhold for a real number one contender match! then next could be Okami vs Lombard. Mark Munoz vs Bisping, Jake Shields vs Jacare, Belcher vs Boetsch, Phillippou vs Kennedy, Larkin vs Roger Gracie, Francis Carmont, Nick RIng, Brad Tavares, Stanislov Nedkov-Tom Watson, Adlan Amagov, Cezar Mutante, Cung Le vs Vitor Belfort would be fun, Ronny Markes vs CB Dollaway, Francis Carmont vs Cezar Mutante maybe ? lots of unknown or lesser known guys that could become bigger names with some big wins and impressive finishes or fights. But at this time right now the best choice for Anderson would be either Chris Wiedman or Luke Rockhold and I think if they fought each other it would be a better job of finding an able body since if either guy wins than Dana and company still will have somebody worthy of calling it a number one contender match. Lombard would be awesome and fans might want that fight more than any other only if Hector can win vs Okami and then be ready to go soon after.

remember even Anderson was given a title shot after just winning one fight vs Chris Leben to then face Rich Franklin. So those who say that Chris Weidman isn’t worthy yet is CRAY-AYAYAZZZZYYY ! cmon people talking about Rockhold when he couldn’t even beat todays Jacare, yeah he beat two years ago Jacare but wouldn’t last five rounds with him today, and he should hafta win one fight versus somebody ranked close to the top ten which is hard since most guys are out or have fights booked. Then theres guys like Boetsch and Belcher who would beat Luke or even if they lose does that still prove that he is better than Weidman who beat up Munoz ? Give Mark time to heal and make that fight again and let those naysayers watch and witness a even more impressive dismantling when Chris taps him out or knocks him out quicker ! if Rockhold can beat a Bisping or Belfort than yeah sure feed him to the Spider ! but if Dana was smart he would finally just give Weidman the title shot !

Maybe he’ll agree to fight Dan Hardy.

    If they pay him enough.
