The UFC’s return to Canada in March has received two more bouts – and they do not include any welterweights.
UFC 158, which takes place March 16 from Montreal, boasts many 170-pound fighters. Included in the list is the main event between UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre and Nick Diaz.
First, Antonio Carvalho and Darren Elkins have signed to meet at featherweight. Carvalho is 15-5 in his career and 2-1 in the UFC, while Elkins (15-2) has won four straight since dropping to 145 pounds.
In another signed contest, Mitch Gagnon takes on Issei Tamura. Gagnon, a Canadian, holds a record of 9-2, while Tamura is 7-3 in his career.
