Miesha Tate signed with Malki Kawa and First Round Management recently, and Kawa Tweeted out that her UFC debut could be soon.
Tate, a former Strikeforce champion, last fought in 2012, submitting Julie Kedzie. She lost the title to Ronda Rousey in one of the most highly-watched female fight in Strikeforce.
“I am excited to be working with Malki Kawa as I further my MMA career,” Tate said. “My goal is to fight in the UFC and become the world champion, and I believe working with Malki and his team at First Round Management gives me the best opportunity to achieve that goal.”
Kawa posted on Twitter that MMA fans should be on the “look for (Tate) to be in the UFC later this year.”
Tate sports an overall record of 13-3.
