Tito Ortiz Feels There May Still Be Hatred Between Himself And The UFC

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Tito Ortiz is mentioned among the greats the sport has ever produced.

Ortiz, who was inducted into the UFC’s Hall of Fame prior to his retirement fight last year, is still involved in MMA – but not directly with the promotion he called home for so many years.

During a recent appearance on The MMA Hour, Ortiz addressed why he doesn’t have a job with the UFC like former fighters Matt Hughes and Chuck Liddell.

That’s a great question. I don’t know. Maybe there’s still hatred. Of course (I wanted a job with the promotion). Who wouldn’t want a job with the UFC? It’s the greatest promotion in the world.

Ortiz pointed to a spot in marketing as his calling, adding, “A lot of fighters don’t understand it. They come and they fight, and they’re forgot about.”

Ortiz currently works with a handful of fighters as a manager, while also continuing his many other various jobs and companies.
