The first of three 30-minute specials hyping UFC 157 airs this evening on Fox Sports Network, as UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey prepares to meet Liz Carmouche at UFC 157.
The bout, which goes down February 23, will be the first female fight inside the Octagon.
“UFC 157: Primetime”, the pre-fight hype event, airs at 6 p.m. ET. Replays are set for the coming days on Fuel TV, Speed and FX, with parts two and three airing over the next two weeks.
Rousey, who rose to fame in Strikeforce, helped pave the way for females to compete in the UFC. The former Olympian is 6-0 in her career, with all six victories coming by first round submission.
Carmouche (7-2) will be looking to play the role of spoiler. She is also making more history, as she is the first gay or lesbian fighter to grace the Octagon.
The card also features Dan Henderson and Lyoto Machida in a key light heavyweight scrap.
