Bellator 88 Results: New Middleweight Champion Crowned

Alexander Shlemenko became the new Bellator middleweight champion Thursday night, besting Maiquel Falcao in the main event of Bellator 88.

The bout was used to determine the new champion in the division, as the belt had been vacant since Hector Lombard departed for the UFC.

Shlemenko ended the contest two minutes into the second round, stopping Falcao in his tracks.
