UFC On FUEL TV 7 Results: Renan Barao Successfully Defends Interim UFC Title

Renan Barao pushed his unbeaten streak to 31 straight fights Saturday in London, submitting Michael McDonald in the fourth round of their main event fight at UFC on FUEL TV 7.

Barao (30-1) locked in an arm-triangle at the 3:57 mark of the fourth, forcing the top contender to tap.

The Brazilian is now 5-0 since joining the promotion in 2011, including recent wins over McDonald, Urijah Faber and Scott Jorgensen.

While Barao’s next opponent is undetermined, he is hoping to unify the titles with Dominick Cruz, who is sidelined after a second knee operation.

In other action, Cub Swanson moved closer to a potential UFC featherweight title fight by besting Dustin Poirier, Jimi Manuwa earned a victory over Cyrille Diabate, and Gunnar Nelson downed Jorge Santiago.
