A broken hand will keep Daniel Straus from making his next scheduled fight, and leaves Bellator MMA and featherweight champion Pat Curran searching.
Straus suffered the injury in training and has been forced to withdraw. The injury was first reported by MMAjunkie.com.
The featherweight division has been on a delay for quite some time now, as Curran was injured previously and forced to postpone a meeting with Patricio Freire. Curran went on to win that fight by split decision.
Straus captured the season six tournament title – Bellator is currently in season eight – and even took a fight late in 2012 with Alvin Robinson to stay active.
Bellator 95 is set for April 4 from Atlantic City, so officials have time if they wish to pair Curran with someone else.
