Matt Riddle went on The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani earlier this week and discussed his recent release from the UFC.
Riddle, who was cut following a second failed drug test for marijuana, posted a 7-3-2 mark inside the Octagon. His two no-contests were originally victories.
I think they were just looking for a reason to get rid of me. I really don’t like the direction they’re taking the company. They’re firing high-level talent so they can have lower-level talent just scrap.
The comments made by Riddle didn’t go unnoticed by UFC president Dana White, who replied to a Twitter message saying “we can make sure that happens” in regards to Riddle saying he had no interest in ever fighting for the promotion again.
