Former boxing world champion Mike Tyson appeared with Ronda Rousey on My FOX LA recently, and Tyson had a piece of advice for the UFC female bantamweight champion.
“Stick with your mom and a good lawyer,” Tyson said. “That’s all you need.”
The hosts and Rousey laughed, and “Rowdy” said, “I got both of those right now.”
Rousey’s fame has skyrocketed since she defeated Miesha Tate last year for the Strikeforce title. She’s appeared on countless magazines and on several TV shows, and also defeated Liz Carmouche in the first-ever UFC female fight.
She was asked about dealing with the pressure of carrying the UFC’s female division, to which Rousey said, “I try not to think about it too much. I take it one step at a time.”
So far, Rousey has been able to recover from her lone media hiccup when she posted a video concerning a school shooting. She’s one of the top faces in all of MMA, and will likely remain that way for quite some time.
