Credit Nick Diaz, as the former Strikeforce champion has high aspirations for himself.
Diaz, who will meet Georges St-Pierre Saturday night at UFC 158 in Montreal, recently talked about his future – after the GSP fight – during a conference call.
The Stockton bad boy will be fighting for the first time in a year, as he was suspended following a loss to Carlos Condit last year.
“I look past every opponent because I know I’m in this,” Diaz said. “I’m not just looking at one obstacle. I think for me, it’s easier to deal with when I accept the fact that I’m never going to get out of this.”
“If I had the option available, I would be gratefully accepting (a fight) with the 185-pound champion (Anderson Silva) or the 155-pound champion (Benson Henderson),” he said. “I would take either fight and I think I could beat either guy.”
Well, as of right now, I really am unsure if I will pick GSP or Diaz to come out, but these are some mighty big words from the challenger.
What do you think? Would you like to see Diaz-Benson Henderson? How about Diaz-Anderson Silva? Or, is everyone feeling a GSP win Saturday is in the books?
