Georges St-Pierre Accepts Johny Hendricks As Next Challenger, Unsure Of Potential Date

Fresh off defeating Nick Diaz, UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre admitted that Johny Hendricks will be the next contender to his title.

Hendricks topped Carlos Condit in the co-main event at UFC 158 Saturday night, just minutes before GSP downed Diaz.

Now, the two must come to an agreement on a date – though that could be further down the road than expected.

“I want to fight the best guy and I think that’s Johny Hendricks right now. I don’t know when. I haven’t taken a break since I came back from knee surgery. I need a vacation.”

Hendricks is also likely to be sidelined for an extended period of time, though his has nothing to do with a vacation. “Bigg Rigg” believes he may have broken his hand in the win over Condit. The former NCAA wrestling standout is ready to match up with GSP whenever the contract is signed.

“If I don’t get the title shot, I’ll be devastated,” he said.
