Former UFC champion Ken Shamrock will compete in England this July against Ian Freeman. MMA Opinion first reported news of the fight on Tuesday.
Shamrock, who commentated the BAMMA 12 card recently and stated his desire to meet Freeman, has not fought since late in 2010. At 49 years old, he will be seven years older than Freeman.
Freeman defeated Frank Mir at UFC 38, and has also been on the sidelines for several years.
The two were originally set to meet at UFC 43, but Shamrock suffered a torn ACL and was forced out.
The fight will take place under the Ultimate Cage Fighting Championship banner on July 27 from the Keepmoat Stadium in Doncaster, England.
