Former UFC fighter Matt Riddle will make his Legacy FC debut in July against Artenas Young at Legacy FC 21.
Riddle (7-3) was released by the UFC after a failed post-fight drug test recently. The card will air on AXS TV from Houston.
Along with the Riddle bout, the Legacy FC middleweight title will be on the line when William Bush faces Larry Crowe.
Also, the vacant featherweight title is up for grabs with Matt Hobar taking on Nelson Salas.
Riddle, who has admitted his marijuana use in the past, should be able to pick up a few wins competing for Legacy FC. However, he has likely severed all bridges with the UFC due to his recent remarks against Dana White.
Newell to return in June
Nick Newell, the reigning Xtreme Fighting Championship lightweight champion, will face Scott Holtzman at XFC 24 on June 14 in Tampa.
Newell, who competes with one arm, is 9-0 in his career with eight first round victories.
Holtzman has scored four wins since turning pro, including a victory over Jason Hicks to secure the title shot.
Brenneman signs with CFFC
Charlie Brenneman, an ex-UFC fighter, has signed a deal with New Jersey’s Cage Fury Fighting Championships.
Brenneman is slated to make his debut on April 12 at CFFC 23. He moved to lightweight after being released by the UFC.
Brenneman (16-5) scored a submission victory over Eric Irvin in his 155-pound debut earlier this year.
