Fallon Fox, Transgender MMA Fighter, Now Without An Opponent

Fallon Fox, who has caught the headlines due to being a transgender fighter, may not be competing in May for CFA after all.

The promotion announced that Fox would meet Peggy Morgan in the semifinals of the featherweight tournament, but Morgan has declined the fight.

“I understand why people are advocating for Fallon and I appreciate that it is important to protect her rights, but I think it should be just as important to protect the safety of the other women in the tournament,” she wrote on her management teams website. “Until I am presented with conclusive evidence that a fight with Fallon would, in fact, be fair, I will not be entering the cage with her.”

Fox has been undergoing treatment since 2006 to change from a man to a woman. She earned a knockout in the opening round of the tournament, but did not cite on her papers that she was previously a male.

It’s going to be interesting to see what happens with Fox, as I feel she is going to find it more and more difficult to find opponents.

This will continue to happen her whole career not because of prejudice but because it is unfair
