World Series Of Fighting Debuting TV Show This Saturday

The World Series of Fighting will try to do a little competing with the UFC this Saturday night, debuting “World Series of Fighting: Future Champs.”

The program airs on NBC Sports Network at 7 p.m. ET and lasts for 30 minutes. It will feature Ozzy Dugulubgov vs. Chris Wade, a bout that previously took place at the second WSOF card.

“We are excited to take our partnership with NBC Sports Network to the next level and complement our live event programming with library fights featuring World Series of Fighting’s fast-growing roster of emerging, young stars and future champions,” said WSOF president Ray Sefo.

The show will also air April 26, featuring Brenson Hansen vs. Tom Marcellino.

Not a bad idea by the WSOF and NBC Sports Network to try and build a fan base for the prelim fighters.

Definitely a good idea. Most organizations only rely on names that the UFC has built, but the WSOF seems to understand that you need to build stars from within. A show dedicated to that is smart business.
