The Ultimate Fighter went out with a bang on FX, as the recently-completed TUF 17 Finale card generated 1.71 million viewers.
Of the three finale events to air on FX, the latest was watched by the most people. The season as a whole averaged 1.32 million total viewers each week.
“This was a great way to end The Ultimate Fighter’s run on FX,” said Chuck Saftler, Executive Vice President, FX Networks. “I want to thank Dana White, Lorenzo Fertitta and Frank Fertitta, as well as Craig Piligian, on three amazing seasons of the series. I wish them all nothing but the best in their move to FOX Sports 1.”
TUF will begin airing on FOX Sports 1 in September, moving from Tuesday to Wednesday nights. The series features Ronda Rousey and Cat Zingano coaching both male and female bantamweights.
Thanks to the TUF 17 Finale, FX ranked No. 1 in the key male 18-34 demographic, along with placing second overall in the male 18-49 demo – behind only FOX.
