Glover Teixeira is ready to take on former UFC light heavyweight champion Rashad Evans.
No, the bout has not been made official or even announced, but Teixeira told the Brazilian news outlet Tatame that is he willing to face “Suga.”
“For me, this fight is already accepted,” Teixeira said. “Rashad should want two weeks to rest then in late August or September, if this fight went out, would be very good. I’m always ready.”
Evans rebounded from a two-bout losing skid by defeating Dan Henderson recently, while Teixeira has won 20 in a row, including UFC wins over James Te Huna and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson this year.
