The first season of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) was one of the most drama-filled showings that the series has put out yet. Thanks to the staff that would eventually become big names to avid MMA fans. Chris Leben, Josh Koscheck, Diego Sanchez, Kenny Florian and Forrest Griffin have all become recognizable to the mma community since coming off TUF 1.
Koscheck and Leben met in the quarterfinals, after almost getting in a brawl in the house, Koscheck’s wrestling made the difference against Leben as he maintained control of the match for the entire two rounds to earn the decision. Some of the most heated moments on the show were courtesy of Leben and Koscheck’s feud that eventually cooled down when Koscheck moved to welterweight and Leben stayed at 185lbs.
Now Leben says he would be more than willing to settle the score in the Octagon at a catchweight
“I would take a catchweight fight with Koscheck,” Leben told mixedmartialarts.com It would stop everybody that has been saying to me every day since the show came out, ‘When are you going to get a rematch with Koscheck? I hate him! I wish you would beat his ass!’ That alone would make it worth it.”
Any chance these two meet again?
Leben is set to face Andrew Craig for the main event on the FX prelims of UFC 162: Silva vs. Weidman on July 6th.
