What was big news for kickboxing/MMA fans on Thursday that the GLORY organization had signed a big deal with Spike TV, just became bigger news today. With Bellator Fighting Championships being a mainstay on Spike and now GLORY being on the same channel, what are the chances the two promotions co-exist and share their fighters?
Pretty good, according to the managing director of GLORY Sports, telling MMAFighting the idea isn’t farfetched, as they have already discussed things with Bellator CEO Bjorn Rebney.
“If the opportunity shows up with a fighter, we are open to explore. We had some discussions with Bjorn a while back but nothing concrete.”
Neither Bellator or Bjorn Rebney have had a response to these comments. But maybe Bellator’s help, and with Spike as a platform to try to launch this baby into the mainstream, the kickboxing company can get recognized, as Bellator did on MTV?
