Unlike many of his peers, UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez isn’t expecting a title change Saturday night at UFC 162.
The betting line favors Anderson Silva, but many fighters are looking at Chris Weidman to walk away from Las Vegas as the UFC middleweight champion.
Not Velasquez, who recently appeared on “UFC Tonight” to give his thoughts.
“Anderson Silva has more tools right now with his overall standup,” he said. “His knees, elbows and punches; I just see him winning the fight. No matter if it goes one round or five, I’m picking Anderson.”
Velasquez will look to secure his second title defense later this year when he faces Junior dos Santos for a third time at UFC 166 in October.
