Chris Leben’s future in the UFC remains unknown, according to UFC president Dana White.
Leben, who has battled drug addiction and losses, recently moved his camp to San Diego from Hawaii. However, the change didn’t help him Saturday night at UFC 162, as Andrew Craig scored a split decision.
UFC president Dana White stated during the post-fight press conference that Leben sent him a message immediately following his loss.
“He texted me he was sorry, and I texted him back, ‘I love you kid,'” White said. “The kid has been through a lot. He always bounces back; we’ll see (in regards to his future).”
White added that “his style of fighting isn’t a healthy style of fighting.”
Leben is 32 and has now lost three in a row and four of his last five.
