Ronda Rousey and Miesha Tate’s rematch for the UFC female bantamweight title will in fact be the main event of the year-ending UFC 168 card in December.
UFC president Dana White made the final four PPVs of 2013 official during the post-fight press conference Saturday night.
Rousey and Tate will collide December 28 at UFC 168 from Las Vegas. Rousey and Tate will appear in September as coaches on The Ultimate Fighter.
UFC 165 is official with Jon Jones defending his UFC light heavyweight title against Alexander Gustafsson on September 21, while UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez defends his belt against Junior dos Santos October 19 at UFC 166.
UFC 167 will feature the return of Georges St-Pierre, as the Canadian fights in Las Vegas against Johny Hendricks November 16.
All eight fighters, White said, would be part of a media tour that will take them around the U.S, into Sweden, England and Brazil, to promote the cards.
