UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre will have to wait another year to add “Poker World Champion” to his title.
St-Pierre was knocked out near the end of the first day of competition at the World Series of Poker Main Event recently. He was entered in the Day 1B field.
GSP, who previously competed in the event a year ago, was sponsored by 888 Poker. He has joined with the company to help raise money to fight bullying, as he was a victim of bullying as a youngster.
As for his Octagon career, St-Pierre will return to action this November when he meets No. 1 contender Johny Hendricks at UFC 167.
