Cub Swanson earned his 20th victory this past weekend, stopping Dennis Siver for his fifth consecutive win at UFC 162.
Swanson, who is now 20-5 in his career, believes a shot at the UFC featherweight title is right there for him. However, if it takes another bout to get there, he is willing to take that, too.
“I want to take the best fight I can get,” said Swanson, in an interview with MMAjunkie.com.
Swanson stated that Frankie Edgar “kinda called me out.” Edgar, the former UFC lightweight champion, defeated Charles Oliveira on the same card.
“If that’s the best one, I’ll take it,” he said. “And if they give me something better, a bigger opportunity, I’ll take that.”
During his recent win streak, Swanson has defeated Dustin Poirier, Oliveira and Ross Pearson.
