Tickets for the UFC’s return to Brazil in September go on sale today via Tickets for Fun.
The event, UFC Fight Night 28, takes place September 4 from Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
In the headline fight, Glover Teixeira will face Ryan Bader at light heavyweight. The two are a combined 12-3 in the UFC, including a 4-0 mark by Teixeira (21-2).
“It’s a dream to make a major fight in the UFC,” Teixeira stated, “(especially) in the state where I was born. I have no words to describe what I’m feeling. I can fight in front of my family, who will all travel to watch me.”
Bader, a former Ultimate Fighter winner, is 15-3 in his career and competing in Brazil for the first time.
“I’m looking forward to fighting in Brazil for the first time – I heard that the fans are amazing,” Bader stated. “I may not be the favorite of Brazilians, considering that I will face one of its most outstanding fighters, but I’m training, I’m ready for war. I know that a win over Glover will help me move up the rankings and I’m working hard to get back to the route of the title.”
