Honestly, it doesn’t matter what Diego Sanchez thinks, but it is always interesting to hear one fighters opinion on an upcoming UFC title match.
So, here’s what Sanchez had to say in regards to the November Georges St-Pierre vs. Johny Hendricks UFC welterweight title fight slated for UFC 167.
“I am 110% pulling for (Hendricks) to beat GSP and (Jake Ellenberger) to smash Rory (MacDonald),” he posted on Twitter, along with the hashtag USA.
Ellenberger and MacDonald will meet this coming Saturday night on FOX.
Some followers of Sanchez were surprised, as St-Pierre has trained with Greg Jackson in New Mexico – in the same gym “The Dream” calls home.
However, Sanchez explained that situation, saying, “If you call 3 one week visits in 6 years often. I don’t.”
Sanchez, meanwhile, is set to face former Strikeforce champion Gilbert Melendez at UFC 166.
