Former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva knows he screwed up.
Silva will get his chance at redemption in December when he rematches UFC middleweight champ Chris Weidman at UFC 168.
“The Spider” came to his senses after initially declining a rematch, saying he was “out of myself” at the moment.
“I was so sad,” said Silva, in an interview with Brazilian radio show Mundo da Luta. “I lost my focus and made a technical mistake. I’m human; I made a technical mistake, and it was good for me and for the people around me to learn.”
Silva lost for the first time inside the Octagon and suffered his first knockout defeat in the process.
“I lost focus, and now, I will get better,” he added.
