Johny Hendricks On Silva-Weidman: ‘Anybody Can Be Beat’

Johny Hendricks doesn’t see his upcoming match with Georges St-Pierre for the UFC welterweight title at UFC 167 as anything close to that of the recent Anderson Silva-Chris Weidman bout.

Sure, there are plenty of similarities, but as far as Hendricks is concerned, each fight is different.

“It’s my own fight,” he stated, during a recent stop on the UFC’s World Tour. “I have to beat Georges St-Pierre and I plan on doing it.

“The (Silva-Weidman fight shows that) anybody can be beat at any given time. I believe I have what it takes and can beat Georges St-Pierre.”

Hendricks has reeled off impressive wins over Carlos Condit, Martin Kampmann, Jon Fitch and Josh Koscheck, finally securing himself a title fight with St-Pierre. He, again, stated his plans to “eat a jab” to land his left hand.

“I’ll bite down on my mouthpiece all day (to do that exchange),” Hendricks said. “All I have to do is touch him and my left hand is going to do that.”
