Ronda Rousey Knows She Can’t Please Everybody In The World

UFC female bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey has yet to catch the ire of the media world.

Instead, Rousey has been cast in the light of the queen of MMA, landing magazine covers, spots on talk shows and the UFC title through all of her success inside the cage.

As a former Olympian, though, she knows one little slip can lead to a downfall – but Rousey isn’t overly concerned with any of that.

“I have to accept that not everybody is going to like me,” said Rousey, during a stop on the UFC’s World Tour recently. “I live the life of exposure and people see who I am all the time. I have to accept the fact it is going to be bad sometimes and things aren’t going to come out right all the time.

“Any mistake you make is going to be blown up; whatever people think, they are going to think.”

Rousey has cast aside the title of role model, and stated she “would rather be a topic to discuss” than anything else.

After successfully defeating Liz Carmouche, Rousey will face Miesha Tate for a second time at UFC 168. The two women will also coach on the upcoming season of The Ultimate Fighter, which begins in September on FOX Sports 1.
