Johny Hendricks has no hard words for Georges St-Pierre.
The two have been traveling together on the UFC World Tour, and “Bigg Rigg” wouldn’t mind hanging out with GSP once the event ends.
However, that doesn’t mean he isn’t about to take it easy on the UFC welterweight champion when they square off in November at UFC 167.
“He’s a really great guy,” Hendricks said. “We get along together whenever we have to be around; and that’s what this sport is about. I could go out and have a beer with him and hang out with him, but we do have a fight and that’s the only way that it goes.”
Hendricks received the same sentiments from St-Pierre, who stated “He’s a gentleman, a good role model…when the training camp starts, we try to be more distant from each other.”
The former Oklahoma State University wrestling standout has won six straight fights, while St-Pierre has eight consecutive title defenses.
