Brock Lesnar On Leaving The UFC, Returning To Pro Wrestling

Former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar left the UFC several years ago for a return to the WWE.

Lesnar, currently in his second stint with the pro wrestling promotion, recently talked with the Los Angeles Times for an interview request he hardly gives.

The former NCAA wrestling standout discussed his reason for originally leaving the WWE and heading for a career in MMA, and also stated his reason for returning to the squared circle.

“I left originally because I was a caged animal 300 days a year on the road and they knew that. That was the bottom line – I don’t want to be that person,” he said. “I’m at a different stage in my life where I think I’ve earned [the reduced schedule]. That was the only way I could make this happen. They played ball and hopefully it’s a win-win for both of us. I really do enjoy putting on a show.”
