Brandon Thatch’s MMA career has been on a direct path to the UFC.
Since making his debut in 2008 and going 1-1 to start his career, Thatch has been on fire. Wednesday night, he earned his ninth straight victory, finishing Justin Edwards at UFC Fight Night 27.
Thatch (10-1) most recently competed for the Resurrection Fighting Alliance, submitting Mike Rhodes in the first round.
In fact, all 10 of his wins have come in the opening five minutes of action.
“I have been here a thousand times in my dreams, and it never felt anything like this,” Thatch said. “It’s amazing. I think I peed a little bit.”
The Denver-based fighter definitely made a case for being a future welterweight contender, as Edwards had won eight of his 10 pro fights coming in, including a recent technical submission over Josh Neer.
