Tryouts for The Ultimate Fighter 19 took place earlier this week while the UFC was in Indianapolis for UFC Fight Night 27.
While no names have been released as far as who made the cut, MMAjunkie.com’s Matt Erickson was on hand and saw some of the more notable names take to the mats.
The 19th season, which will likely begin sometime in early 2014, will feature middleweights and lightweights.
Former Bellator champion Lyman Good was one of those. Good was Bellator’s first-ever welterweight tournament winner, wearing the title until he lost it to Ben Askren.
Also, Strikeforce veteran Lumumba Sayers, former Bellator fighter Luis Palominio, and Cage Warriors champion Cathal Pendred were all on hand. Pendred’s teammate, Chris Fields, also tried out.
Coaches for the season have yet to be announced. The 18th season of TUF begins airing on FOX Sports September 4 and features female and male bantamweights being coached by Ronda Rousey and Miesha Tate.
